Why We Started Clubwear and What is it?
We started Clubwear Golf because, like a lot of people, we grew up playing golf as kids just because we enjoyed it. But as we got older, golf started to feel like an "old person’s sport," and we found ourselves wondering why we were still playing—so we stopped, just like every kid does when their parents tell them to do something.
Then, around 2018, we had a realization: golf was actually fun. But not for the reasons most people talk about. It wasn’t about using golf as an excuse to let loose or mess around on the course. It was fun because it gave us a place to escape from daily stress, be in nature, and spend time with friends—or even complete strangers. Golf became a way to reset, clear our heads, and just enjoy the moment.
We’ve played more rounds than we can count, but if you asked us what we shot in 98% of them, we wouldn’t remember. What we do remember are the moments—the laughs with friends, the unbelievable shots we all witnessed, and the memories that stick with us long after the round is over. Today’s golf culture often pushes everyday players to set unrealistic expectations, making them feel like they’re not good enough. No one started playing golf to be perfect at it. No one’s perfect at golf, and that’s the beauty of the game—it’s always a chance to improve. Sure, hitting a great shot feels amazing, but the real reason we play is to get outside, stay active, and reset.

That’s why, no matter what you shoot, you keep coming back—whether it’s the next day, the next weekend, or whenever you get the chance. Clubwear is about embracing that mindset. It’s not about your handicap or your score; it’s about why you play. Our motto, style over handicap, reflects the idea that how you feel on the course matters more than the number on the scorecard. When you look good, you feel good—and when you feel good, you naturally play better—not necessarily by lowering your score, but by enjoying the game the way it’s meant to be played.
